HAITI RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT Tourinord is part of Haiti Reconstruction and Development a not for profit organization incorporated in the state of New York in February 1997. This organization is committed to promote, foster, increase and advance the cultural, civic, social and economic welfare of the people of Haiti; to promote, encourage and support cultural, social, medical and educational services beneficial to Haitians; to provide a vehicle in which medical, agricultural, business, construction and affairs of cultural exchange can be promoted in Haiti; to promote synergy between professionals in these respective areas and their ever increasing need in Haiti; to provide the best of Haiti's intellectual experts back to Haiti on training missions; to have physicians, agriculturists, business executives and contractors travel to Haiti to bring the most modern of technologies and procedures in an attempt to accelerate the modernization and technological edge of Haitian enterprises; to send a team of physicians each year to help train professionals and develop the country's medical technology with the assistance of the Haitian Physicians Abroad Aesclepius Medical Society and Christian Community Health Team; to sponsor in association with the Department of Health in Haiti related medical fairs and related medical needs; to sponsor students scholarships and training exchanges; to send needed medicines and supplies where they are most needed in association with pharmaceutical medical supply manufacturers; to assist officials in restoring the natural beauty of the natural life of Haiti's forest and planning for wild life preserves and tree replanting programs will be set up; to provide a modern pool of business professionals to train Haitian youth regarding the need to create economic and business zones, including securities, banking, international trade, technologies and tourism; in association of local chamber of commerce, department of tourism, department of economics, and other related agencies to establish exchange and liaison services to facilitate investment and foreign development. |
